2026-27 KACo Insurance Grant Program
The Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo) is pleased to once again offer members of our Workers’ Compensation Fund and All Lines Fund the opportunity to apply for a KACo Insurance Grant to help increase safety and reduce losses associated with these insurance programs.
For the 2026-27 grant cycle, there are three grant opportunities available:

Fiscal Courts and Political Subdivisions
Open to all KACo-insured fiscal courts and political subdivisions
Application open: Aug. 17 – Sept. 4, 2026$10,000 maximum award for purchases made after July 1, 2026
Funding priorities:
- Vehicle accidents
- Lifting and handling injuries
- Slip, trip and fall
- Property damage

Open to all KACo-insured sheriff’s offices and county police departments
Application open: Sept. 7 – 25, 2026$7,500 maximum award for purchases made after July 1, 2026
Funding priorities:
- Legal liability
- Officer safety

- Property damage
