Emergency Management Wristband Identification Program
With the rise of incidents requiring multi-agency responses, KACo is proud to expand its wristband identification program to county emergency management directors and their personnel. These simple, easy-to-use wristbands will help identify emergency response team members who may not be in uniform or have identifying clothing.
This program is an extension of the KACo Off-Duty/Plainclothes Wristband Identification Program. For more than a decade, the reflective wristbands have provided a quick and effective means of identification for law enforcement, helping keep first responders safe.
Guide for use
- Who: Wristbands should be worn by emergency management personnel responding to a scene when other identifiable clothing, such as a high-vis vest or jacket, is not available.
- Visibility: With bright and reflective material, the wristbands ensure visibility during the daytime and in low-light situations.
- Placement: Bands should be worn between the wrist and elbow on the outside of any clothing. The band must be visible if the wearer is asked by a law enforcement officer to show their hands.
- Storage: When not in use, place the band around the gear shift of an official vehicle or the responder’s personal vehicle as necessary for easy access.
