FRANKLIN COUNTY FISCAL COURT Solid Waste Coordinator Salary Range: $25.39- $31.00 per hour (min-mid range) Full-time or part-time

Franklin County Government is seeking qualified applicants for Solid Waste Coordinator position.

Duties include: Ensure compliance with solid waste management plan and residential waste hauling contract. Administer all county recycling efforts, identify and implement ways of decreasing the cost of waste disposal. Work with the Soil Conservative District to create and carry out a litter/recycling education program. Write and maintain the five-year plan for solid waste. Write, apply, and maintain grants. Improve communication with county residents through public relations. Maintain a website for information to help citizens reduce waste and costs. Prepares budget for solid waste.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a closely related field. Three years of current experience in the waste management field may substitute for the education requirement.
