This classroom defensive driving course covers techniques for safely transporting passengers with special needs utilizing the proven discussion and participation based “Coaching” method of training. Defensive driving topics covered include pre-trip inspection, SCC (Scanning, Cushion of Safety, Communicating), backing, driving in adverse weather, passenger assistance procedures, assisting passengers in and out of vehicles, safe lift procedures, and securing passengers within the vehicle. Open to Tri County Community Action Agency staff only.
