2024 Vehicle Operation: Reducing Operational Risk (HB 298) – 8/6

This class is designed to meet the requirements of House Bill 298 (Jill's Law). It will address the mandatory requirements for Kentucky law enforcement agencies and officers regarding emergency and pursuit driving. The course will address agency policy, emergency and pursuit operations, legal aspects and case law, and the decision-making process for the individual officer in emergency vehicle operations. The student will also participate in driving courses for 3.5 hours at the conclusion of the classroom presentation. The course will conclude with a written test. This class is KLEC certified for 8 hours of In-service credit.
