Sheriffs' boys and girls ranch in need of donations, volunteers

By Susan Riddell, Editor
This year marks the 48th year of the camp.

The flagship project of the Kentucky Sheriffs' Association is the non-profit Boys and Girls Ranch, which is focused on guiding the lives of Kentucky children.

Campers at the ranch work on building self-esteem, character and respect for themselves and others.

The ranch is located in Marshall County and always is in need of donations and volunteers to fully function.

Campers attend for free thanks to dedicated efforts by sheriffs, their offices and other contributors. Sheriff offices accept monetary and prize donations throughout the year and host fundraisers to help offset the costs.

This year marks the 48th year of the camp.

If you or staff members of your office would like to donate to the camp heading into its summer season, go to www.kentuckysheriffs.org/boys-and-girls-ranch/ or contact Tracy Powell at tracy_ranch79@yahoo.com.
