Kentucky counties are reminded to submit their opioid settlement certification form to the state by Monday, Dec. 30.
Local governments must complete and submit the quarterly certification form, which is available on the Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission’s website. This form, which must be signed by an authorized official, includes a declaration under penalty of perjury that all expenditures of settlement funds comply with KRS 15.291 and 15.293, as well as any related regulations.
This certification process ensures that settlement funds are used appropriately to address the opioid crisis through initiatives such as prevention, treatment, and recovery programs. Failure to submit the form by the deadline may result in penalties or disqualification from future fund disbursements.
Certification forms should be emailed to kyoaac@ky.gov.
