Livingston begins term as KACo president

Scott County Magistrate David Livingston has been named President of the Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo). He took the oath of office and was recently sworn in during KACo’s annual conference.
“We have a big conglomerate of elected officials who do different jobs throughout their counties. My goal is to bring people together and figure out what are the best solutions for county government,” Livingston said. “I hope people feel like I'm a president for all those who are serving in public office across Kentucky.”
Livingston is in his fourth term representing Scott County’s 7th District. He previously served as President of the Kentucky Magistrates and Commissioners Association. In addition to serving on the KACo Board of Directors, Livingston is also a member of the KACo Insurance Agency Board and the Unemployment Insurance Board.
“David Livingston has a passion for local government and making a difference not only in Scott County but across the Commonwealth,” Scott County Judge/Executive Joe Pat Covington said. “As President of KACO, his dedication, strong relationships with elected officials and willingness to serve will help make counties stronger.”
Livingston graduated from Georgetown College and is an executive with Houchens Insurance Group. He and his wife Nicole have three daughters.
