The Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission (KYOAAC) has released its annual report for 2024.
“The work done by Commission members and staff is in support of the people of the Commonwealth, and we believe it is important that those we serve have a view into the work of the Commission,” said Executive Director Chris Evans.
The commission awarded more than $12 million across the state in prevention grants and treatment and recovery grants. Among the recipients were several county organizations.
KACo is proud to partner with KYOAAC in its work to help administer Kentucky’s portion of opioid lawsuit settlements. Half of settlement funds go directly allocated to eligible counties and municipalities while the other half goes to the commission and it’s allocated through a grant application process.
