On Mar. 7, 2024, KACo hosted an hour-long training for county officials and staff on preventing and responding to sexual harassment in the workplace, featuring attorney Carol Petitt with the Vaughn Petitt Legal Group.
This class covered the laws and regulations that define sexual harassment, the reporting duties and consequences for failing to do so and offered suggestions to best implement anti-harassment policies in the workplace. Participants learned ways to prevent and discourage sexual harassment and how to promote a safe and respectful workplace.
