Governor Beshear announces four regional vaccine sites

Gracie Lagadinos
Four regional COVID-19 vaccination sites will open Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 10 a.m., Gov. Andy Beshear announced Thursday.

Locations include Alltech Arena in the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, which will be managed by Kroger; Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville; and Lourdes Hospital and Western Baptist, both in Paducah.

Beshear announced that these sites will be focusing on Kentuckians who meet the requirements of phases 1A and 1B of the state’s vaccination plan, which can be found here. An appointment is required for each of these locations.

You can schedule an appointment at the Kroger-operated Kentucky Horse Park location at Kroger.com/CovidVaccine or by calling 866-211-5320.

The state also created a hotline, 855-598-2246, for individuals to call to schedule an appointment at the other regional sites or find their closest vaccine distribution location. Kentuckians can also check vaccine.ky.gov to determine their vaccine phase, and to register for a notification when their phase is eligible to receive the vaccine.

Beshear said that there will be eight additional regional locations announced during two upcoming press conferences on Feb. 4 and 11. While anyone can schedule an appointment at any location when their phase becomes eligible, it is encouraged that people only get on a waiting list at their closest location.
