Many county officials participated in inaugural events and the inauguration ceremony of Gov. Andy Beshear and Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman in Frankfort on Tuesday.
County officials from across the state gathered at the Kentucky Council of Area Development Districts (KCADD) headquarters on Capital Avenue for a front-row view of the inaugural parade.
The cold weather brought many inside KCADD for warm beverages and hot-off-the-grill barbecue.
After the parade, several county leaders attended the inaugural prelude and swearing-in ceremony on the Capitol steps. Franklin County Judge/Executive Huston Wells, along with Frankfort Mayor Bill May, gave the "welcome" during the swearing-in ceremony.
