Salary Range: $29.37- $50.62 per hour/40-hour work week

Duties include:

• Serves as Road Supervisor pursuant to KRS 179.020.
• Prepares yearly budget and recommends ways and means for the proper expenditure of funds.
• Estimates the type and amount of maintenance and construction materials needed for projects.
• Plan, organize and supervise activities related to the construction and maintenance of county roads. Investigate and respond to public complaints.
• Inspect existing roads and determine maintenance and report needs and improvements.
• Maintains roads and bridges and deals with drainage issues.

Minimum qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED.
• Possess a valid Kentucky driver’s license and obtain Class A CDL within 12 months of hire.
• Must have road experience and operating equipment.
• Ability to read engineering plans and understand specifications for the construction and maintenance of roadways and bridges.
• Be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays for special projects or emergencies.
