DANVILLE-BOYLE COUNTY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Danville-Boyle County Planning & Zoning Commission, located in Danville, Kentucky, is now accepting resumes for the position of Planning Director. Purpose of Position: The Danville-Boyle County Planning & Zoning Commission is responsible for community-wide planning and development activities in the incorporated and unincorporated areas of Boyle County, Kentucky. The Director position is a professional, supervisory, and advisory position. The purpose of the position is to serve as the administrative manager of the City and County planning programs.
Minimum Training and Experience: This position requires a Degree in Planning, Public Administration, or a closely related field and at least five (5) years’ experience in city or regional planning and local government agency administration. Also required for this position are: thorough knowledge of planning principles, practices, and techniques; statistical methodology and techniques; zoning and land use law; municipal administration; personnel administration; public financial administration; excellent organizational, written, and oral communication; personnel and public relation skills; and a valid Kentucky driver’s license. AICP certification is preferred.
Starting Pay: $80,000 DOQ. Benefit packages include paid family health care and partial paid dental and vision insurance with option for family coverage, state retirement plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
