Applications being accepted for Justice Assistance Grant Program
The Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet is now accepting applications for the 2017 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program.
JAG grants are funded through an appropriation from the U.S. Department of Justice and may be used for a variety of justice and public safety programs, including enforcement, prosecution, corrections, treatment, prevention and education.
Applications will be accepted in two categories of programming: drug task forces, and unrestricted – so long as the total proposed project cost is greater than $25,000. Eligible applicants include state and local government agencies and not-for-profit agencies The submission deadline is April 3, 2017.

Applications must be submitted via the online Kentucky Justice Grants Management System (GMS). Validation of new user accounts will take 48 to 72 hours. If a user account previously has been established, no further action is required to access the system.
